STEUBENVILLE, OH — Steubenville Swing Dance is reopening after a brief closure, now led by dance instructors Dan and Mary Selmeczy.

The monthly community dance will once again take place in the third-floor ballroom of Leonardo’s Coffeehouse in downtown Steubenville. The event is organized in partnership with the Harmonium Project, a nonprofit that supports local arts and downtown activities.

Dan Selmeczy said the goal is to make the dance nights accessible to everyone. “Our goal is to make it fun, welcoming, and affordable – you don’t need prior experience to have a great time,” he said.

Each evening begins with short five-minute lessons in swing, rumba, and foxtrot. The lessons are designed for beginners but open to dancers of all levels. Afterward, participants can enjoy live jazz fro
