ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio — Families are invited to celebrate Halloween at the Belmont Soil and Water Conservation District’s annual Boo at the Barns event, scheduled for Oct. 21 at the Belmont County Fairgrounds.

The event will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at 45422 Roscoe Road in St. Clairsville, rain or shine, according to the district.

Visitors can stop at learning stations throughout the fairgrounds to learn about nocturnal wildlife.

Activities include testing senses in the “Blind as a Bat” challenge, navigating a giant spider web and comparing wingspans to that of a vulture.

The evening will also feature face painting, hot chocolate, games and candy. Costumes are encouraged.
