GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Two people were shot early Monday morning in Grand Rapids, law enforcement confirmed to 13 ON YOUR SIDE.
The Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD) is investigating a shooting in the 500 block of Grand Avenue northeast, which is in between Michigan Street northeast and I-196 on the city's east side.
GRPD said officers responded to a call of multiple people shooting at each other around 1 a.m. While officers were investigating the scene, GRPD said that two victims arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds.
One of the victims had a non-life-threatening wound, while a second victim was reported as being in serious, but stable condition.
During an investigation of the scene, officers found several vehicles and at least home in the area damaged from the shooting.
