Waverly, N.Y. (WETM) — After having to shut down last year due to financial concerns, the Winner Circle Project is back to helping students learn real-life skills.
The project allows students to build and restore vintage cars. Students have a lot of fun and learn a lot.
"It just seems fun to rebuild a car and show everyone the progress of rebuilding a car," said Denielle Wolverton, a student at Waverly High School.
School officials said this project helps kids learn real-life skills to hopefully help them get a good job in the future.
"These are giving kids skills to think outside the box and more or less problem solving and working with cars, automobiles," said Rich McIntosh, the Director of athletics and transportation. "It's all about solving problems getting things to work and the
