HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two people are dead and multiple others in the hospital after several shootings in Hartford over the weekend.

The Hartford Police Department said half a dozen people were shot this weekend in Connecticut's capitol city -- two of whom died. The string of violent incidents began around 11:50 p.m. Saturday, when 20-year-old Isaiah Molina was shot and killed at the People's Ballroom on main street.

Around 1 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a report of a shooting and assault outside a bar and restaurant on Franklin Ave. One person was shot, and police said they are in stable condition. News 8 later found bullet holes in the exterior of the restaurant.
