Lake County leaders and officials from the 14 municipalities in the county came together for the second time this year to learn about growth management strategies to combat sprawl, one of the leading issues that residents point toward when surveyed.
Residents said they're top gripes are with traffic and the breakneck pace of development in Lake County.
Over the summer, all 14 cities agreed to form Joint Planning Agreements (or JPAs) with the county to manage new development.
Lake County Commissioner Sean Parks said the county has seen progress with the drafting of the JPAs, which he said he hopes would address the 700 million dollar funding gap for new road construction.
