PEMBROKE — The crossroads of N.C. 710 and Prospect Road, between Pembroke and Prospect, is scheduled to close Wednesday morning for approximately two months for the construction of a roundabout.

The signed detour will consist of Red Bank Road, Hezekiah Road, N.C. 710 and Saint Anna Road. Drivers should plan for a longer commute using the detour and be alert near the work site.

The N.C. Department of Transportation awarded the $2 million project in June to reduce the risk of serious crashes at this location. The roundabout will replace the all-way stop at this location.
