ROSELAND, La. (WAFB) - Just over a month removed from the devastating Smitty’s plant explosion in Roseland, there are still plenty of remnants to be seen across town.
“I grew up out here, I been through these woods all my life, and I hate to see how bad the environment is affected by it,” said resident Jeff Williams. “Obviously, you can see some of the green right there. It’s not exactly green anymore. It’s black.”
Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry took to social media over the weekend in a video, calling on the EPA and others to expedite the cleanup process.

Other officials are taking note and working to analyze the best path forward for what is a massive project.
“The big thing is how do w
