PRINCETON, WV (WVNS) - A local votech program was named one of the top CTE schools in the state.
Mercer County Technical Education Center was one of five recipients of the Pinnacle Award. The distinction is issued through the WV Department of Education and recognizes outstanding achievement in preparing students for the workforce.
Principal Danielle Farmer credited the staff and students with the program's success. "We attribute that entirely to our staff and our students," she said of the center's success. "We have awesome instructors who go above and beyond. Then we have students who are dedicated and have chosen their route, and they take it very seriously when they're here."
