ELKINS – Shae Knolles scored a pair of goals on Saturday to help visiting Winfield to a 4-1 win over Elkins in a boys’ high school soccer match.
Knolles’ two scores led the Generals (7-4-2) who also had goals from Brayden Wissler and Brady Sutler.
Wisser also assisted on two goals, Sutler had one assist, and Jacob Freeman added an assist as Winfield handed Elkins (8-1-3) its first defeat of the season.
The Generals also scored on their own goal, giving the Tigers their lone point in the matchup.
Jaxin Alexander recorded three saves in the match for Winfield.
