With OSU parting ways with longtime head coach Mike Gundy last week there are a variety of things to watch for. NCAA rules allow players to enter the transfer portal in a 30-day window after a coaching change is made, and at least three OSU players are planning to or have already done so.

Shea Freibaum

Long snapper Shea Freibaum, who was heavily recruited out of high school, has already stated on social media that he will transfer. A two-year veteran, he enters the 2025 season with 173 career long snaps without incident, covering 121 punts and 52 place kicks. Rated as one of the nation’s top long snapper prospects in the 2023 class, he has already established himself as a steady contributor on special teams.
