The Tulsa State Fair is 11 Days of Awesome, but it is a challenge for school districts when it comes to attendance and discipline.

Tulsa Public Schools told News On 6 that attendance historically drops during the fair time, and the number of suspensions goes up.

Many schools sponsor field trips to the Tulsa State Fair

The fair is always full of students, even on ordinary school days. The Tulsa Adventist Academy sponsored a trip for its high school students.

“We thought it would be a great learning opportunity, and as you can see, we are wearing our field trip shirts that say, 'Let’s Go!’ We are a Christian school,” said teacher Sara McLean.
