TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Twin Falls City Council approved a guaranteed maximum price for a remodeling of an old city building.
The city approved a price of around $1.4 million to remodel the old City Council Chambers building at 305 Third Avenue East. The city hired Starr Corporation to act as the general contractor and construction manager for the remodeling project.
The project will remodel the back half of the building to create a larger gym for employees, according to the action item. The gym currently lies in the front half of the building, and equipment will be moved upon completion to allow employees to continue using the gym during construction. Construction crews will then remodel the front half to create office spaces for the legal department upon the gym’s completion.
