TEXARKANA, TX (KTAL/KMSS) — Texas High secured its first district win against Hallsville last week, defeating the Bobcats 26-3.
The defensive line played a huge role in earning that big win.
"Our defensive line played great all week. Hallsville kind of more or less wanted to take the clock with them and slow the game down and run the ball. Our defensive line did a good job containing them. We held them in 92 yards of offense and just really pleased overall with our defensive effort," head coach Gerry Stanford said.
Another notable performance was from senior running back Ahmad Moore. Moore has stepped up to replace Javari Johnson, who led the team last year in rushing and was second in touchdowns.
