GLOBE, AZ (AZFamily) — Clean up continues in Globe after devastating flooding hit the community on Friday night.

“It was relayed out to most everybody on social media that there was a storm coming but I don’t think they thought it was going to be of this magnitude and it was going to wash away everything so fast,” said Don Muniz.

Around 5:55 p.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the areas including Globe, Miami, and Claypool. The message included the following: “Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.”
