The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office is warning the public about recent job scams in the state.

Authorities say scammers are impersonating local businesses, sending emails and text messages that appear to come from New Hampshire companies.

The attorney general's office advises job seekers not to respond to these messages. Instead, verify any job listing by finding the company's contact information and calling directly.

Those who receive a job offer are asked not to send personal information. Instead, submit information through a company-provided, encrypted online portal.
