CONCORD, N.H. (WCAX) - Authorities in New Hampshire are warning of a growing number of scams targeting job seekers.
New Hampshire’s attorney general warns that scammers are using the names of real businesses to try to steal information from job seekers.
Experts say never respond to a text or email about a potential job; instead, call the business to verify.
And they say don’t pay for any training or equipment if asked, and only share information via a secure company portal, never over text, email or even a virtual interview, especially if the interviewer doesn’t have their camera on.
