Actress Nicole Kidman and her longtime husband, country music superstar Keith Urban, have separated after nearly 20 years of marriage.

People Magazine reports a source has confirmed the split. TMZ also reports that “multiple sources” say the couple have been separated since the beginning of the summer.

Kidman, 58, reportedly did not want to separate and has been working to preserve the marriage, People reports. Kidman and Urban, 57, have been married since 2006 and have two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

“The entire Kidman family has come together to support one another,” the source tells People. “She didn’t want this. She has been fighting to save the marriage.”

However, sources close to Urban tell People that the split was “inevitable.” TMZ reports Urban is
