CARTER COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Andrea Skerbinc has been teaching for seven years. The past four in Carter County and now, Happy Valley Middle School.

Students in grades 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th make up Skerbinc's modified curriculum classroom at Happy Valley Middle School. I read it, I read it.'" The goal for her students is to fill in gaps and get prepared to go to Unaka High School. "We are working with students to build kind of like a bridge because some of our students are missing those lower like multiplication, division or reading," Skerbinc said.
