CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Columbia Parkway is shut down in both directions due to a serious crash near Delta Avenue, according to Cincinnati police and fire officials.

All lanes are blocked between Hoge Street in Columbia Tusculum to Torrence Parkway in East Walnut Hills.

It’s not clear when this major east-west thoroughfare along the Ohio River from the eastern Hamilton County suburbs to downtown Cincinnati will reopen.

One person was trapped in a vehicle, extricated by fire crews and taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in critical condition, according to police and fire officials.

The Cincinnati Police Department Traffic Unit is on scene investigating.
