CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A Cincinnati mother is accused of binding her small children’s wrists with rope and pushing them down a flight of stairs, according to newly filed court records.
Police allege in affidavits that Daisha Phillips, 28, abused her children, a 4-year-old boy and 5-year-old girl, at their Winton Hills residence last month.
Investigators determined she also struck the 5-year-old with a belt “numerous times with a belt, causing serious physical injury which required (her daughter) to be admitted overnight to a hospital,” according to one of the sworn statements.
Phillips “admitted to a social worker at Hamilton County (Department) of Job & Family Services that she caused the injuries (to the 5-year-old) and stated that was her ‘normal discipline,’” police wrote in the court
