CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Columbia Parkway is open again after a head-on crash during the morning commute closed it for hours Tuesday.
The two-vehicle collision was reported around 7 a.m. at Columbia Parkway and Torrence Parkway, according to Assistant Cincinnati Fire Chief Matt Flagler.
One person was trapped in a vehicle, extricated by fire crews and taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in critical condition, according to police and fire officials.
It’s not clear if anyone else was hurt.
Police blocked all lanes of Columbia Parkway between Torrence Parkway in East Walnut Hills and Hoge Street in Columbia Tusculum.
The Cincinnati Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating.
