COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Mount Carmel East hospital employee was seriously injured after being stabbed Tuesday morning, according to a Columbus public safety dispatcher.
The call for the reported stabbing was around 8:45 a.m., according to police.
Columbus police told 10TV that a woman stabbed a man. Circumstances around the stabbing were not immediately provided.
The man was taken to the emergency room in critical condition. His condition had since stabilized.
According to police, officers were told the woman had left the hospital. The woman was found in a nearby wooded area.
Police said she was found with a knife and lacerations on her body that are believed to be self-inflicted. She was taken to the hospital for treatment and was described as stable.
