The Archdiocese of Cincinnati and Girl Scouts of Western Ohio have announced a renewed partnership.

Tuesday's announcement came just under a year after former Archbishop Dennis M. Schnurr, in a statement, instructed pastors within the archdiocese to discontinue their parishes' partnerships with the Girl Scouts of the USA. Advertisement

In a letter addressing the decision sent in October 2024, Schnurr said the Girl Scouts of the USA organization has "embraced and promoted an impoverished worldview regarding gender and sexuality."

The letter went on to say that the decision was made after extensive interaction and discussion with the leaders of the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio.
