Mostly warm and dry, but a few storms possible across the Blue Ridge mountains

Happy Tuesday! The start of this afternoon will be mild and warm. Humidity levels may begin to feel a bit muggy later on in the day. Some thunderstorms are likely for our eastern mountainous areas late this afternoon and evening.

Highs this afternoon will reach a maximum of near 84 degrees in the Chattanooga Metro Area.

Overnight lows will drop into the 60s. The next few days will continue to trend sunny, warm, and slightly muggy. We get some relief from the humidity later this week.

Low temperatures may have a bit of a chill for the higher elevations from Thursday to Saturday.

Temperatures will remain above average through the first week of October.
