GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A woman has been charged in the shooting death of her husband last week in Georgetown Township.
Michelle Matos-Colon, 49, was arraigned Tuesday on charges of open murder and felony firearm, the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office said.
She is accused in the death of her husband, 52-year-old Elieser Montano. Deputies said he was shot and killed Thursday morning in an apartment on Brookmeadow Court near 44th Street.
Matos-Colon, of Georgetown Township, was taken into custody on scene, according to the sheriff's office. The two previously lived together at the apartment, investigators said.
Bond was set at $1 million cash/surety. As of later Tuesday, Matos-Colon remained in jail, the sheriff's office said.
