Large parts of a mill in Radcliffe have been demolished today following a major fire which left a firefighter seriously injured.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) confirmed unstable sections of Pioneer Mill on Milltown Street will be "carefully demolished" after the blaze on Saturday night (September 27).
Crews across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire were called to the scene. Firefighters are still damping down hot spots three days later as clouds of smoke continue to rise from the historic building.
In the early stages of the incident, a firefighter was injured when part of the building collapsed. GMFRS said they remain in hospital receiving treatment.
