BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WMBD) -- Two teens have been arrested on alleged weapons charges after shots were fired Saturday morning.

The two 13-year-olds, whose names were not released as they are minors, were arrested on the following charges, according to department spokesman Bryce Janssen: • Reckless discharge of a firearm • Aggravated unlawful use of a weapon • Resisting a peace officer • Possession of a firearm without a FOID

Officers with the Bloomington Police Department were on patrol at 2:30 a.m. when they heard shots being fired and immediately began to search for victims and people of interest, Janssen said.
