BLOOMINGTON ( 25News Now ) - Bloomington Police arrested two teenage boys Saturday after they said the teens were responsible for random gunshots in the area.
According to police, officers were patrolling Bloomington streets at about 2:30 a.m. early Saturday morning when they heard the sound of gunfire. Those officers started searching the area to find the source of the gunshots.
One officer found a group of people in an alleyway on North Prairie and Dudley streets. That officer saw someone in the group aim a gun at the sky and fire it. At that moment, the group saw the police squad car and ran away, prompting a chase.
Several law enforcement agencies responded to the chase, including Normal Police and a McLean County deputy. In the end, law enforcement captured two of the suspects, b
