Radio listeners in Hastings, Prince Edward, and Northumberland Counties on Wednesday can help children take part in recreational activities and more by donating to the Kids Can’t Wait Radiothon.

Nine radio stations will take part in the 12-hour fundraiser for The Children’s Foundation, which provides many academic and recreational activities for local youth.

“Every dollar raised on the Radiothon goes directly to helping local children thrive – whether it’s access to programs, experiences, or critical supports that shape their futures,” said Ingrid Moore, the foundation’s executive director, said in a news release.

She added the stations will share the stories of youth helped by those programs and of donors, board members, and volunteers.
