GARDEN CITY, Idaho — The Garden City Police Department ( GCPD ) arrested a Boise woman after she allegedly stole over $30,000 worth of jewelry.

According to police, on Sept. 19, there were reports of a theft in the area of Riverside Drive and Lakemont. After investigating, police learned that a home hospice aide had stolen over $30,000 in jewelry from multiple patients.

Chyann Janes, 31, was arrested on Sept. 29 during a traffic stop.

Police then learned through investigation that Janes had pawned several pieces of jewelry that were taken from her hospice patients.

One of the victim's husbands identified the pieces as jewelry stolen from his late wife, according to a news release. Officers discovered Janes had also pawned a stolen ring from a patient in Star.
