IDAHO CITY, Idaho — A section of State Highway 21 north of Grandjean will close for emergency repairs starting on Oct. 7 after recent landslides caused damage to the road.
According to the Idaho Department of Transportation (ITD ), the nearby creek's movement is now eroding the road. ITD is installing a six-foot culvert, a drain underneath the road, to divert the water back to its original location during this two-day closure.
The road will be closed from 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7, to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
Drivers can get continuous updates on traffic closures throughout the state at Idaho 511 .
