New Delhi: A day after losing the Asia Cup 2025 final to India, Pakistani cricketers recieved more harsh news upon returning home after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) suspended all No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to participate in T20 franchise leagues outside the country.

While the PCB hasn’t revealed the exact reason behind the decision, the fact that the move comes in the backdrop of a humiliating five-wicket defeat to bitter rivals India makes it evident.

PCB’s CEO Sumair Ahmad Syed put out a prior notice about the developement.

According to a report in ESPNcricinfo, the PCB is aiming to give more priority to national and domestic performances and wants to bind NOCs to a performance-based system. No information is yet provided on the timeframe of such an evaluation. More details
