The Coweta County Fair drew large crowds this season, but deputies also handled a series of arrests ranging from drug possession to a kidnapping case.
Reports from the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office detail three notable incidents between Sept. 21 and Sept. 27.
Marijuana arrest in parking lot
On Sept. 21, deputies patrolling the fairgrounds parking lot smelled marijuana coming from a white SUV. Investigators said the driver, Tamika White, 43, of Greenville, at first denied having drugs but later admitted possession after pulling out a marijuana cigarette.
Deputies said White also tried to hide additional contraband near a patrol vehicle, where agents recovered multiple bags of marijuana. She was arrested on a charge of possessing less than an ounce of marijuana and transported to the Co
