UNITED Airlines announced a major change for customers, which is expected to save almost an hour between connecting flights.

The new security initiatives will launch in select cities and will eliminate the need for customers to re-check bags on international routes.

Passengers on certain international flights will no longer need to re-check their bags thanks to United’s International Remote Bag Screening program.

The US Customs and Border Protection initiative aims to simplify the process of connecting flights and reduce the number of passengers who miss their connecting flights.
