ANDOVER, Minn. (KTTC) – A head-on collision involving a school bus takes a life near Andover.
According to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of a pickup truck pulling a trailer was northbound on Roanoke Street, when the pickup crossed the center line and hit a southbound school bus head-on.
Despite efforts to save the pickup driver’s life, he died on the scene.
This happened around 7 a.m. Tuesday. The bus had five student passengers at the time. They were on their way to Anoka High School.
The female bus driver and one student were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The other students were picked up at the accident scene by their parents.
The Minnesota State Patrol and other agencies are investigating what happened.
