Srinagar, Sep 30: Bringing relief to passengers ahead of the festive season, the Railways has announced the resumption of 16 trains, including eight pairs, to and from Jammu between October 2 and October 8. The services had been suspended following the devastating floods of August 26 that disrupted key routes.
Railway officials said that the trains would gradually resume operations in the fourth phase of restoration. In the earlier three phases, only nine trains had been brought back on track. The officials confirmed that major repair work on damaged bridges has now been completed, allowing for safe movement of trains.
The services being restored include Jammu Tawi-Kanpur Central on October 2, Jammu Tawi-Yoganagari Rishikesh on October 5, Jammu Tawi-Barauni on October 3, Jammu Tawi-Seald
