FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- An emotional scene played out in Central Fresno on Tuesday afternoon, hours after police identified 15-year-old Nathan Torres as the bicyclist hit and killed on Monday.
Action News was there as a passerby stopped to mourn Nathan. She was visibly overcome with emotion as she bent down to pray for the boy.
The two did not know each other, but the passerby said Nathan's death had a profound impact on her. She prayed for drivers to slow down.
"From the information and debris, it was highly likely he was in the roadway," Fresno Police Lieutenant Zeb Price said on Monday night.
Investigators believe Torres was riding his bike on the road when they say an oncoming car hit him.
The driver stayed on scene and cooperated with the police. They do not think drugs and alc
