It’s “desperate’’ times for Army football, says head coach Jeff Monken.
The Black Knights (1-3) are coming off a pair of American Conference losses to North Texas and East Carolina , and now Army has to play an Alabama-Birmingham team (2-2, 0-1 American) that has won its last three home games and four of its last five. Saturday’s game at Protective Stadium is at noon ET on ESPNU.
“We’re in desperate need of a win,’’ Monken said Tuesday. “When I say desperate, it doesn’t mean it’s a bad term – it means you’re fighting with everything you’ve got to try to accomplish the mission that you have. I think that’s really the mindset of where we’re at right now.’’
