MACON, Ga. — A 60-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with a fatal August shooting in Macon, according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office .

The sheriff's office said Timothy Hurt, 60, was arrested for shooting and killing Nelson Crenshaw near the 6000 block of Harrison Road on Aug. 31.

The press release said deputies responded to the area around 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 31 and found Crenshaw, 46, unconscious with a gunshot wound. Crenshaw was taken to a local hospital, where he died.

Hurt, a Macon local, was identified as a suspect and arrested by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Taskforce, according to the sheriff's office.
