MANCHESTER, N.H. —

A new poll shows that a majority of New Hampshire residents disapprove of President Donald Trump's job performance.

The poll from the University of New Hampshire Survey Center shows that 56% disapprove of how Trump has been handling the job, compared to 43% who approve.

Trump's net approval rating, the percentage of those who approve minus the percentage who disapprove, is negative 13, down from negative 9 in August and the lowest of the president's second term.

For those who disapprove of the president, the top reason is undermining democracy and the Constitution, followed by corruption and harming civil rights. For those who approve, the top reason is the president's handling of immigration, followed by keeping his campaign promises and his handling of the economy.
