MACON, Ga. — A 48-year-old has been arrested and charged for killing a woman in East Macon , according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office said deputies responded to the 1300 block of Sanford Avenue around 8:15 a.m. on Sept. 11, and found a 42-year-old woman dead inside an apartment.

The woman was identified as Teasha Colbert, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones. Jones said Colbert was found stuffed into a trash can in the apartment.

The press release said Snapper Orlando Brundage, 48, was identified as the primary suspect in the case. He was located in Atlanta and arrested by the United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Taskforce on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
