SANBORN, N.Y. — Lewiston Police have provided an update to a fatal motor vehicle crash in the Town of Sanborn

Lewiston Police announced in a press release today that Nicholas J DiCarlo, of Lockport, has been charged with Manslaughter in the Second Degree following an indictment by a Grand Jury in Niagara County Court.

The crash happened on Saunders Settlement Road between Chew Road and Walmore Road in Sanborn just before 9pm on July 17.

When police arrived on scene, they found the motorcyclist, later identified as 26-year-old Hunter S. Weber, unresponsive. Officers began life saving measures until paramedics and EMTs arrived to take over. Weber was later pronounced dead.

27-year-old Dicarlo, was evaluated at the scene, but signed off on any further treatment.
