Two of the most hated rivals in sports meet in the opening round of the Major League Baseball Playoffs, as the Boston Red Sox take on the New York Yankees in Game 1 of the American League Wild Card Series on Tuesday night.

The Red Sox and Yankees have been fierce foes ever since Babe Ruth was sold to the Bronx Bombers well over 100 years ago.
