Inter Miami looks to better its chances of having home-field advantage in the Major League Soccer Cup Playoffs on Tuesday night, as Lionel Messi and company get set to host the Chicago Fire.

Miami is one of the eight Eastern Conference teams that have already clinched a spot in the postseason. While the team has been inconsistent at times this season, it has done enough to at least get to the playoffs for the second year in a row, and the third time in franchise history. However, the work is not quite done yet. Miami still has a chance to host at least one playoff match next month.

Heading into Tuesday night, the club sits fourth in the East, three points ahead of both Charlotte and Nashville, with Miami having two matches in hand.
