ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A new era has begun for Cardinals baseball.
After a year of waiting in the wings, Chaim Bloom took center stage on Tuesday as the Cardinals’ next President of Baseball Operations.
In his first press conference at the helm, Bloom outlined his plans for the future, acknowledging that the top priority is to build the talent base for the long term.
For the past year, the Cardinals have been in a state of transition. Bloom used that time to get to know the organization.
At Tuesday’s press conference, when asked about the current state of the roster, Bloom said that “hard decisions” will be made.
Bloom also confirmed that Oli Marmol will return as the Cardinals manager next season.
The Cardinals finished the 2025 season with a 74-84 record, five games back
