ANN ARBOR — Two stars from last year’s Michigan basketball team returned to campus earlier this month. Danny Wolf and Vladislav Goldin, both of whom are now in the NBA, were celebrated during a Michigan football game for their Big Ten Tournament championship. They also watched their former team practice.
“Both of those guys commented about how physically big and strong we were and just how much we were improved as a program in one calendar year,” head coach Dusty May said on Monday.
In addition to snagging a banner, Michigan reached the Sweet 16 and finished 27-10 in May’s first season. May is optimistic about the sequel.
“I don’t think anyone on last year’s team or this year’s team would disagree that we have more natural ability, more proven success on this year’s team than last.”
