WAYNE COUNTY, MI — A 45-year-old Wyandotte man accused of embezzling over $166,000 from his former employer has been bound over to stand trial.

After waiving his preliminary examination in district court, Jason Garza had his case bound over to the 3rd Circuit Court in Wayne County, where he will stand trial on 10 felony charges barring a possible plea agreement.

Garza is accused of embezzling over $166,000 from Montway Auto Transport in Canton Township, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said on Tuesday, Sept. 30.

Garza, who was initially charged in June, was bound over to stand trial on:

One count of embezzlement more than $100,000, a 20-year felony;

One count of embezzlement more than $50,000 but less than $100,000, a 15-year felony;

One count of embezzlement more than $1,000 bu
