NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) -- President Donald Trump is expected to visit Norfolk on Friday, Oct. 3, according to a Washington Post report.

The report states that during Trump's visit to Norfolk, he is expected to "discuss the country's 'great Naval assets.'" Norfolk is home to the world's largest naval station, Naval Station Norfolk.

Trump is also expected to discuss the lead-up to the 250th anniversary of America, which will take place on July 4, 2026.

WAVY has confirmed a celebration of 250 years of the U.S. Navy is planned for this Friday at Naval Station Norfolk, with remarks from Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and Secretary of the Navy John Phelan planned as part of the program.
