LITTLETON, Colo. (KDVR) — Dealerships across not only Colorado, but across the nation, prepped for a change in electric vehicle demand ahead of the New Clean Vehicle Credit that is set to expire on Sept. 30.

"In the last three months, we’ve sold almost 250 electric vehicles," Rod Schluter, the Director at McDonald Volkswagen in Littleton, said.

Schluter said they sold almost all of the electric vehicles except two rear-wheel drive vehicles, which aren't usually popular in Colorado.

"The problem isn’t getting it done before September 30th, the problem is finding a car," Schluter said.

He feels like a lot of the people that they have been selling the cars to have been new to the EV market.
